How It Works
First, the pulse oximeter and its sensor are attached to the patient (1 ja 2).
The pulse oximeter is connected to the access point via Bluetooth.
The access point transmits the measurement values via Wi-Fi to the Monidor Vitals™ server application.(3)
Monitor patients' SpO2 and pulse rate from remote monitoring application on terminals.
Alarms
Adjustable alarm thresholds for oxygen saturation and pulse rate.
Active alarms are indicated by attention colors and/or sound.
Alarms can be muted for a specified time.
Three alarm levels:
· High-level alarm
· Low-level alarm
· Technical alarmAlarm delays can be customized for each hospital ward.
The Story of Monidor Vitals
During the pandemic, hospitals had to adapt to unprecedented challenges. Remote IV Therapy Monitoring was quickly introduced in inpatient wards and proved to be a valuable tool to support nursing care. But this raised a new question: could the same remote monitoring be used to monitor oxygen saturation?
Discussions with over a hundred nurses and fifty doctors revealed a clear need - spot check monitoring was simply not enough. This need gave birth to Monidor Vitals, an easy-to-use and lightweight solution for remote monitoring of SpO2 and pulse.
Monidor Vitals remote monitoring software is sertified as a MDR-compliant CE-marked medical device.
